Our Mission

Arctic Research and Development (ARD) is building technology to unlock the last great frontier on Earth. An expanse 1.5 times the size of the US, the Arctic is becoming the epicenter of geopolitical tensions, climatic shifts, and economic opportunity. We cut through this complexity — while preserving the integrity of the planet’s most fragile wilderness.

Built by pioneers with 30+ years of polar experience, we know that autonomous systems are the key to operational success. Working at the fringes of technological capabilities, this is a company that takes big bets on hard problems. If you want to build and deploy ground-up technology with real-world impact - at an inflection point in history that won’t reappear - we want you at ARD.
The Role

As a Deployment Strategist at Arctic Research and Development, you’ll be embedded alongside engineers and the development team. By understanding the critical questions our customers need answering, you’ll be guiding the product direction from the first iteration.

Your expertise and fluency with the procurement process will also be fundamental in getting the solution into the clients hands. The role will demand a curious and analytical approach, a sharp intuition for product and market, and a strong degree of user insight that will both realise ARD’s vision and empower customers to improve decisions.

Core Responsibilities
  • Meet client analysts to locate their capability gaps and understand the critical questions they need answers to
  • Work alongside multi-disciplinary engineering and design teams to convey the technology requirements
  • Scope out potential new engagements in new industries and expanding locations
  • Deliver demos to new and existing customers
  • Travel to the Arctic for onsite client meetings, Outpost monitoring, and operational field testing when required
What We Value
  • Nuanced understanding of Arctic affairs and the impact on ARD’s mission
  • Strong experience in government and private sector relations, while understanding their market needs and gaps
  • Natural competency to lead internal teams and effectively communicate product development stages to clients
  • The ability to operate with autonomy and take initiative while showcasing a unified dedication to the mission
  • Readiness to operate in safe but challenging environments while overseeing Outpost R&D and prototype testing
What We Offer
  • Stock options and a competitive compensation
  • Mission-driven culture – focus on impact, not hours logged
  • Real field exposure – travel to Arctic sites and Outposts when needed
